Back when I was training for Miss India, the question of beauty—whether it is internal or external—came up often. I had my own perspective and could defend it well, but I later discovered that beauty isn’t just subjective; it has a scientific foundation Although I myself is not having perfect ratio but that does mean I am not beautiful naah!
The Golden Ratio (Phi = 1.618) is nature’s mathematical blueprint for aesthetics. It appears in everything from 🌺 to seashells and even human faces. Faces that closely align with this ratio—like the spacing of the eyes, the width of the nose, or the length of the face relative to its width—are often perceived as more beautiful. This made me realize that beauty is not merely in the eye of the beholder but also hidden in the symmetry of nature itself.
But here’s where my personal take comes in: while the Golden Ratio explains external beauty, true beauty is like a painting—it’s not just about perfect brushstrokes but also the emotions behind them. A mathematically perfect face without warmth, kindness, or confidence would still feel incomplete. It’s the harmony of external features and internal grace that creates real, lasting beauty. The golden ratio might define physical appeal, but the golden heart defines timeless charm.
